Here are some insights about the opportunities and challenges that this week’s astrology may offer us collectively. If you’re looking to access personalized astrological and self-care insights to help you navigate the now, I’d love to do a Stellar Guidance Session or a Stellar Constellations Session with you.
As I noted last week, Monday features the yearly Sun/Uranus Conjunction, which is often referred to as the Uranus cazimi. As I shared in my Well + Good article on these auspicious alignments, when astrologers refer to a cazimi, they often allude to the planet being in the heart of the Sun. This poetic parlance reflects the word’s origin, as it’s derived from the Arabic term kaṣmīmi, which means “as if in the heart.” When a planet has that proximity to the solar force, its archetypes are thought to be distilled, strengthened, and empowered.
Here’s what I note in my article about the inspirations of the Uranus cazimi.
“The winds of change blow strongly on the Uranus cazimi, a day on which we can take advantage of shaking things up in the pursuit of progress. Uranus is the planet of innovation and ingenuity, and this alignment puts both on a pedestal.
As we resist the status quo, we can learn new things about our inner rebel, more clearly perceiving when it gets activated and why, and discovering new ways in which we can use it on behalf of the common good. Detours may seem common; as you encounter them, consider how they may not actually be leading you astray but instead directing you to a path that can spark greater awareness.”
Given this, the week may start out heralding surprises and ahas as well as ideas, experiences, and developments that we may not have necessarily had on our proverbial bingo card. We may find ourselves with a proclivity for patterns, for more readily recognizing and appreciating them. As such, be flexible, stay bouncy, and remember that there is often more than one pathway to get from point A to point B.
As it turns out, this isn’t the only cazimi that’s happening this week. On Saturday, it’s Jupiter’s turn to cozy up to the Sun. During this annual alignment we may find ourselves craving expansion and prioritizing growth. Philosophical perspectives may abound as we find ourselves focused on discovering truth and meaning. Jupiter connects us to the concept of abundance and sparks us with doses of optimism and greater possibility. That said, while “more, please” may seem instinctive, it’s important during this energetic invitation to not throw the idea of limits overboard as we seek bigger, grander, and vaster.
The Jupiter cazimi shares triple billing on Saturday with two other notable alignments. Continuing with the Uranian energy that got us going early in the week, the shake-it-up planet unites with Venus, inspiring us to redefine what it is we truly value, experiment with our personal style, and be open minded when it comes to a relationship or social dynamic. Also, as action-oriented Mars unites with the North Node, connecting to the spark of desire seems to be elemental when it comes to pursuing a path that feels soulful, purposeful, and intrinsically aligned with a deep evolutionary movement.
One last note: If you remember back to the third week of April, we had the once-every-thirteen-year union of Jupiter and Uranus, a marker of breakdowns and breakthroughs, experimentation and individuation, rebellion and revolution, and the encouragement to define and embody freedom and liberation. Given that it’s these two planets that are so powerful this week—both “residing in the heart of the Sun”—we may find ourselves experiencing more clarity and resonance with the the pivots and change-ups that came to the fore last month.
Wishing you a week that sparks your deep creative expression.
xxStephanie
