The big astrology news of this coming week already feels somewhat like old news.
That’s because we’ve all been already in the swirls of it, it being the conjunction (union) between expansive Jupiter and inventive Uranus, which occurs exactly on Saturday, April 20. The ripples of this once-every-thirteen(or so)-year seismic alignment have been lending a background note of creativity or chaos (or both), for the last couple of weeks (if not longer).
And just what is it that the Jupiter/Uranus confluence seems to be encouraging?
Significant changes.
The need for innovation.
A new way of seeing things.
Being open to being surprised.
The desire to break out of old patterns.
A preference for the novel over the staid.
Understanding the power of wonder and awe.
An urge to experiment, to mix together ingredients differently and invent a new recipe.
An interest in taking a detour, and how an unexpected gain may arise through doing so.
When Jupiter connects to another planet, it can amplify the signatures of it. So when it aligns like this with Uranus, the planet that represents the newfangled and revolutionary, we may find ourselves experiencing shake-ups here and there.
This remodeling may be external, as we notice an impulse to redesign structures that have left us feeling flat rather than flourishing. And it may also be internal; we may have the opportunity to see that our go-to ways of orienting keeps us small, and often have us in eddies of anxiousness. We sense that somehow we need to—we must—make a change as we can no longer live with the costs of approaching life this way.
As Jupiter and Uranus are meeting up in stability-seeking Taurus, another of the significant manifestations I’ve seen rippling through has been people grappling with their relationship to certainty and uncertainty. It’s a time when our belief that we know what comes next—the confidence we have that after X always comes Y—feels more distant and illusory than usual. And in that, we may find that without that sense of certainty, we feel discomfort and lack of ease. And yet, as we know deep down, a challenging aspects of life is that while some things are more likely to happen, nothing truly is certain.
Yet…and this is a very significant yet…if we can further embrace the reality of uncertainty, if we can be in the moment and be in awareness of the existence of different possibilities and…and this is a very significant and…have faith that we are resourceful, that we can come to call on our ability to be adaptive, that no matter what we will figure things out, then we can quell our disquietude and find new paths of potential.
And not only that: we may discover that we not only feel stronger and more flexible, but should events/realizations occur that we didn’t originally have on our proverbial bingo card that we may actually see the possibility that they are pushing us past a growth edge and bringing us evolutionary gifts.
As I like to say, anytime Uranus is strong in the cosmic skyscape, it’s important to Stay Bouncy! It’s a period in which we should keep our proverbial knees bent, as that can help us to be more open to what may arise, let alone catalyze our ability to shift our orientation so that we can find more freedom and independence to be our creative selves.
I hope for you that this Jupiter/Uranus Conjunction brings you connection to the courage to make the changes you’ve been dreaming of, that you discover more confidence in your ability to deal with whatever comes your way, and that you find fun and joy in experiences that call forth the experimenter, rebel, and innovator in yourself.
All my very best,
xxStephanie
