Here are some insights about the opportunities and challenges that this week’s astrology may offer us collectively. If you’re looking to access personalized astrological and self-care insights to help you navigate the now, I’d love to do a Stellar Guidance Session with you.
On the heels of last month’s Jupiter/Uranus Conjunction, I’ve spoken with many people who have found themselves bearing witness to personal and/or collective upheaval and radical change. Many are questioning how to define stability and security in the face of swirling shifts, finding it unsettling when the rote and relied-upon seem more out of reach. Others are seeing how being privy to surprises and shakeups are leading to unexpected streams of creative expression and a galvanization of the maverick that lives within them. The themes of freedom and independence—what it means, whether we have it or not, and/or how to access and embody it more deeply—is inspiring the minds and conversations of many.
This once-every-thirteen-year alignment took place in the sign of Taurus, where Tuesday’s New Moon resides. And with this, it seems that this current lunation can set the stage for a new chapter of life, one that is infused with the breakthrough awareness we’ve just tapped into.
In addition, when the New Moon occurs in Taurus we have a great opportunity to look within and see what it is that brings us comfort. Taking time to examine what activities and earthly delights yield pleasure can help us discover a sense of rootedness that will serve us well in the coming year.
As part of this exercise, think about your habits:
Do they actually serve your personal needs for health and happiness or is the delight they provide mostly linked to their familiarity?
Do they assist you in productively structuring your life or are they on some level limiting, as they don’t let you move readily outside of a narrowly defined comfort zone?
Reflecting upon your routines and rituals can be a great fount of awareness during the yearly Taurus New Moon.
As Taurus is a very sensual sign, it’s a good time to:
Listen to music
Surround yourself with fragrant flowers
Work for hours in the garden
Delight in a delicious meal
And/or engage in other experiences that allow you to experience embodied pleasure.
Your kinesthetic senses may be especially heightened right now and can serve as an additional tool to tune into how you feel about certain situations and people. For example, if you’re wondering whether you should pursue a certain project, let the idea of it sit within you and tune into how your body feels. Do you feel relaxed and comforted, or jumpy and agitated? Your body may be able to help you filter truths that your mind is unable to clearly perceive.
As the week continues, it feels important to continue to maintain a light grip and an adaptable stance. The reason is that next Monday (May 13), we have the Sun/Uranus Conjunction, the ripples of which we may begin feeling days before. Be open to change, look for the ways in which pivoting gives you more power, re-arrange the literal or proverbial furniture, and, of course, given it’s potent Uranus time, remember to Stay Bouncy!
Wishing you an innovatively creative week!
xxStephanie
