Gemini Season and The Value of Variety

Now that Gemini season is officially underway (the Sun moved into this mutable and mind-oriented sign yesterday), we may find ourselves with a greater affinity to want to learn, know, and share. As the sign of the twins, Gemini invites us to experiment with variety. Instead of having a singular focus, we may find ourselves more inclined to dabble and don a dilettante’s perspective, exploring a multiplicity of subjects, learning a tad bit about this, a smattering of that, and smidge of another thing. There’s a butterfly-like quality to Gemini, an inspiration to dash here and there, collecting pollen of facts, figures, and insights from the numerous sources with which we mingle.
Last week’s Jupiter/Pluto Square and Mars/Pluto Opposition activated reveals and unearthings. A peak behind the curtain may have exposed and disclosed some backstage activity, whether in our hearts and minds, and/or related to the structure or motivation of others with whom we are involved. An urge to purge may have manifested in feeling encouraged to release our/the sh*t. All the while, observations on the cycles of life may have captivated some of our time.
This week, as these planets connect in another way (Mars squares expansive Jupiter and the destiny-oriented North Node), we could find ourselves teeming with more energy and drive. We may find that we feel a bit differently about what got stirred up last week, notably because we can see how through adopting a position of initiative and spunk, we can spark some important progress and open the doors to new possibilities.
Given that Jupiter and the North Node are in the sign of Taurus, the growth that we may perceive, and have access to, can have quite practical benefits. Remember this as well: as Taurus is more inclined to moving leisurely, and the week completes with a square between the radiant Sun and diligent Saturn, taking our time and proceeding without feeling rushed may pay off in spades. Going slowly, noticing the details, observing the elegance of nature, and seeking to fortify foundations seems like a winning combination for both short-term and long-term gains.
