To begin, I want to apologize for misstating the date of the Mars/Uranus Conjunction. For some reason, I had it as July 12, and so included it in last week’s Astrological Insights. And yet, the exact conjunction occurs Monday, July 15. No doubt it was still in play last week, and we were finding it peppering our environs. Yet still, I am sorry for writing it wrongly and any confusion that that caused, notably too given that this weekend it was quite active as the conjunction had not yet peaked.
Monday we greet the Mars/Uranus Conjunction.
Uranus is the planet of surprises. It represents the invitation to detour and pivot. It’s related to chaos and shake-ups…and the shock that may occur when you realize that things didn’t go as you had considered they would. When something emerges that we didn’t have on our proverbial bingo card, it’s usually strong Uranus energy that we think of. Add warrior Mars to the mix and we may experience an amplification of activities and happenings that shake us up.
I didn’t seem this coming…I didn’t see this movement coming, I didn’t see energy coming, I didn’t see this action coming.
This is one of the things I spoke of in July’s So Divine! podcast as Megan Skinner and I talked about the Mars/Uranus Conjunction and what we may experience the days around it.
Already this past weekend had so much of this flavor. Personally, I was caught off guard from stormy conversations that seemed to arise out of nowhere (or at least I didn’t think that they would occur when they did). And then the whizzing seemed to be non-stop with alerts popping up on my phone that some of the icons from my childhood—Dr. Ruth, Richard Simmons, and Shannon Doherty—had died. Let alone the startling news of the shooting at the Donald Trump rally!
With this Mars/Uranus energy continuing for a while (let alone that the exact conjunction is Monday, the Moon—which oftentimes is a trigger for bringing things more clearly into form—ties into this planetary play on Tuesday), it seems still important for all of us to really Stay Bouncy!
Maintaining a stance of “expect the unexpected” may be helpful. Yet, remember that this doesn’t necessarily mean that surprises—or feeling surprised—is necessary negative. As you may know, if you’ve read my newsletters for a while, I feel that strong Uranus times give us the opportunity to change things up, to experiment and redesign.
See how you can take actions that refashion a pattern, take a new route to get out of rote, and/or adapt a well-worn recipe (a literal or figurative one). See what happens when you view your desires, your wants, your motivations from a different angle than usual. What do you see? What do you learn? How does it bring you some freedom? This opportunity for growth feels like what this moment can bring us. (That said, as Megan spoke about in our podcast this month, still watch for the potential of explosive energy as well as not being too triggered or reactionary. )
In addition, while there is a lot more happening this week, I think I’ll just focus in on some of the events of this upcoming weekend: notably the Capricorn Full Moon. Reading this, you may feel like you’re experiencing deja vu, as it seems to be something you’ve heard me or others speak of about a month ago.
That’s because this year there are two of these lunations, the first was on June 21 and the second on July 21. We are given another opportunity to see how we balance our home and professional lives, as well as where our duty and loyalties lay. We may gather insights on our emotional connection to achievement and success. What could be interesting is to consider what you have learned about these realms of awareness this last month, from the previous Capricorn Full Moon to this one.
That said, this one does have a much different flavor. That’s because it features a tie-in with shadow-ruling Pluto. As such, it may illuminate issues that have been shrouding our ability to freely express who we are, what we want, and what we need. In addition, watch for the potential for volatility that emerges as a result of power grabs and the fear of not having control.
Use this energy to your benefit by looking under the proverbial hood: dig deep under the surface, or in the dark recesses, to discover hidden treasures. Employ honesty as a wayfinding tool. See what has reached its expiration date and let it go, making space for something to emerge that more clearly uplifts your sense of vitality.
As you will see below there are other astro influences this week. Yet, instead of detailing them here, I may just post about them on Instagram in the coming week (if you’re following me there, you can do so here).
Wishing you a transformative week!
And remember, Stay Bouncy!
xStephanie

Seattle Happenings
If you happen to live or be in the Seattle area late July through late August, I wanted to let you know about stellar events I’m offering:
Astrology and Jewelry Making
July 28: I’m doing an astrology and jewelry-making workshop at WEND in West Seattle that focuses on how your astrology chart can help you better understand what you need, appreciate, and desire when it comes to partnerships and alliances (see here for more information.)
Altar Alchemy
August 7: Altars are small sacred spaces that you create that are not only beautiful and magical but can also be expressions of your personal creativity. After finding them to be so personally powerful in helping me manifest intentions, work with new moon energies, and more, I’m excited to teach a class about them next month at fruitsuper in Pioneer Square (see here for more information).
In-Person Sessions
I’ll also be available for in-person astrology guidance or family constellation sessions. If you’d like to schedule one, please send me a note. (We can meet in either Pioneer Square or West Seattle.)
