So Divine! for July
Curious about the astrological landscape for July? Then check out the latest episode of So Divine!, the podcast I co-host with astrologer Megan Skinner. We talk about the potential for seismic creative expression given Mercury, Venus, and the Sun in Leo opposing Pluto, the Cancer New Moon and second Capricorn Full Moon, and lots more. Find it here on our website or wherever you stream your podcasts.
Exploring Family Constellations
Speaking of Megan, she had me on as her first guest for her new Conversations with Friends series. In our discussion, we talked about family constellations and the way that I weave it into my guidance sessions. If you want to learn more about this powerful healing approach—including Megan’s experience of it—check out this video.
Astrology and the Four Elements
Ever wonder about the four elements and how to work with them in astrology? This is some of what I shared with jeweler Ann Chikahisa in a livestream video we did the other day. In addition to talking about the elements, we discussed creating altars, some of the highlights of July’s astrological landscape, and more. You can watch the conversation here and also download the free four elements pdf that I created.
Astrological Reflections for the Week
As we begin the month it may seem like we’re caught in the waves of several potent invitations.
Given Saturn stationed retrograde over the weekend, we may still find ourselves paying attention to age, and both the wisdom and the limitations that it can bring. We may find ourselves quite interested in attuning to the bottom line, and whether our investments—whether time, emotion, energy, or money—are getting the return that we desire.
All the while, we’re in the swell of the Neptune station, with the boundary-dissolving planet shifting retrograde on Tuesday. And with this, we are reminded that things are not as separate as they appear on the surface. We are captivated by merging and fusion, readily able to perceive interconnectedness while also possibly finding ourselves wistful for an experience of re-union. Empathy, mysticism, dreams, psychic perception, and a relationship with the muse may be themes that we notice more strongly the beginning of the week.
One thing that connects both Saturn and Neptune right now is that they are surfing through the sign of Pisces. As such, we’re called to pay more attention to power of water and all that call the sea their home; all the while, we may find ourselves caught in an ocean of emotions as well as an undertow that is pulling us to know our divinity and that of everything else.
Additionally, these first few days of July may also have us wanting to don our detective hat, suss out secrets, and explore shadows. Just after messenger Mercury bounds into creative Leo on Tuesday, it opposes unearth-what’s-hidden Pluto. We’re called to take our conversations a bit deeper as well as unveil facts and figures that may have been previously veiled. Writing, talking, and other modes that give us a channel for ideas may serve as sherpas that allow us to reveal buried truths; all the while we may touch into a deeper core of the fears that hold us back from truly owning our creative power. If the latter is true for you, be with what scares you, probing just what it is that causes alarm when you consider expressing your thoughts and feelings; doing so may allow you to find strategies to move past fear’s grip, and perhaps even see that the haunting ghosts are nothing but illusionary vestiges from a time past.
Through Friday, the Moon is in its balsamic phase, the monthly period where Luna is dark and getting darker. To discover the light, we can turn within, exploring the wisdom that lives within the reservoirs of our mind, heart, and soul. It’s a beautiful time to invite in more quietude and sanctuary.
And then on Friday, we greet the Cancer New Moon, a yearly opportunity to begin a new cycle in our relationship to home, family, and the way we nourish ourselves and others. It also invites us to reflect upon the experience of belonging. It’s a powerful time to notice how an instinctive yearning to belong shapes our beliefs and actions, and how sometimes our desire for clan connection had us sacrifice our freedom of expression and abdicate our personal desires. (Exploring and unwinding the tangles that can come through a nascent pull for belonging is one of the reasons that I adore systemic family constellations and its healing power.)
See what you see and feel what you feel (notably too as a Cancer New Moon can connect us to an eddy of emotions). It’s not even that you need to act upon your realizations at the moment; but at least try to greet them, allowing them a place within your awareness so that they can take root and inform your path forward.
Have a beautiful week!
xxStephanie
