Stellar Insights: September 18 - 24
Here are some insights about the opportunities and challenges that this week’s astrology may offer. May they help you make the most of this moment. Should you want to see what the current planetary movements are catalyzing for you—what your here/now and near future may be inspiring—based upon your personal astrology chart, we can explore that in a Stellar Guidance Session.
Fusion is a concept associated with Neptune, given that this planet’s archetypes reflect the notion of merging, dissolution, and unification. Things are not so differentiated where Neptune is concerned; rather they are intertwined and intermingled.
And while this fusion can gift us with much–a well of empathy when we experience another as kindred to ourselves, the power of perception to attune to and resonate with the insights around, and a wave of artistic inspiration as we become one with our muse–it can also lead to some challenges. Notably when we consider that things are one and the same when in fact they are separate and unique.
The perception of fusion can lead to confusion (if we feel uncertain what is what), illusion (if we’re not clear what is ‘real’ and what isn’t), disillusionment (if we assumed something or someone was exactly aligned with us while they are really not) and collusion (including as it shows up in enabling or co-dependent relationships).
I say all of this–both of the gifts and the caveats of Neptune–because this week is its yearly opposition to the Sun. And with this, we may want to watch for the emergence of some of these themes. We can focus on channeling this invitation by leading with love, greeting life with gratitude, and perceiving the subtleties that infuse our experiences with magic and grace. All the while, witnessing if/where we experience any of the less generative aspects of it, those noted in the paragraph above.
Two days later the Sun makes a harmonious trine with power-player Pluto. This alignment invites us to dig deep and see things through. We may find ourselves better able to muster the courage it takes to make a commitment as well as harness the tenacity to not shy away from what’s truly real, including letting ourselves see and experience things that we often avoid out of fear or trepidation. While we may encounter moments where we realize we don’t have full control, we should never forget that we do have choice–even if it’s how we respond to something–and that that is our power.
On Saturday we experience a seasonal shift, with fall arriving in the Northern Hemisphere and spring springing forth in the Southern Hemisphere. This day marks the Autumnal Equinox, which is when the Sun enters Libra. For the next month, our focus turns to Libran domains such as relationships, sociability, justice, equality, fairness, and order.
Wishing you a wonderful week!
xxStephanie
PS: Have you a felt a shift in movement occurring over the weekend? An opening of a new direction? The reveal of a more clear path to move forward? And a sense that stuck and stagnant may be about to be in your rearview mirror? I ask because the Moon is now in its waxing phase after Thursday’s Virgo New Moon and on Friday Mercury, the planet of communication, went direct, ending its most current retrograde cycle.
While it may take Mercury a few days to pick up speed, the pace of things may still be feeling a bit leisurely. But with both Venus and Mercury back in direct motion—which as a pair they haven’t been since the third week of July—we’re finally back to a future-oriented vision. We can now begin to take the insights we’ve accessed in the past two months and let them guide us to move forward with more clarity and the ability to make choices that honour what we deem to hold true value.
If you feel inspired to share anything you’ve been noticing about this recent shift of energy and potential—and where you’re finding yourself finding traction—I’d love for you to share in the comments.

A Dream Come True!
It’s always been a dream of mine to have one of my books available in a foreign language. Well, dreams do come true.
I recently learned that my In Focus Astrology Workbook is now available in a French edition, called Mon Atelier Astrologie. And subsequently, I discovered that my book The Complete Guide to Astrological Self-Care will be coming out in Italian (which is exceptionally special to me as it’s the native language of my husband and his family). It is called Grande Guida All'Astrologia del Benessere and will be available on October 25. And, as it turns out, I was also delighted when I found out that there will be others soon available in other languages; I can’t share them with you now, but promise I will the moment I can.
