It feels like a year has passed since last week. That Uranus-catalyzed Lunar Eclipse on November 8 seemed to really shake things up, bringing a storehouse of surprises and an abundance of out-of-the-blues.
As you may know, I often use the phrase Stay Bouncy when it comes to how to proceed during periods when Uranus is quite prominent. Last week, I was gifted with another concept that feels key to navigating Uranian times, which I want to share with you:
The Power of the Sway.
During a fireside chat I led last Sunday at Captain Whidbey Inn, one focused on discovering the magic of the moon, I was speaking about how this Uranus-informed Eclipse, in addition to encouraging us to stay bouncy, was teaching us the value of adaptability, flexibility, and approaching situations from a beginner’s mind.
One of the participants connected this energy and invitation to a real-time occurrence that we had just experienced on Whidbey Island: a pretty intense windstorm, which had left half the island without power for days, with arboreal debris strewn about. She spoke about how it was the trees that could sway with the wind that were still standing and how those that were rigid became victim to the gale force.
I immediately thought: Yes! The Power of the Sway. I reflected upon how if we could move back and forth, undulate as the unforeseen forces in life tossed and turned us around, how we too would have a better chance to flourish, to remain standing and not topple over. And how, with an enhanced ability to sway, we may also have more sway on the way that our life proceeds. I really wanted to share this image with you—of being like the swaying tree—should it give you another entry point into the lessons of resilience that this time period is teaching us.
Now on to this week (although, as I’ve shared before, even though the Lunar Eclipse occurred on November 8, its invitations—including the haze that surrounds them—is still happening and will infuse themselves in the coming weeks.) Just before they leave deep-diving Scorpio mid-week, both Mercury, the planet of communication, and Venus, the planet of love, make a harmonious connection to growth-oriented Jupiter. And with that, we may find ourselves wanting to enrich our relationships by expanding the realm of the topics we discuss with our allies and loved ones. And just after that, as both planets move into high-flying Sagittarius, we may find ourselves with a bit more optimistic spring in our step as we seek answers to important questions. A desire to learn, expand our knowledge base, and sample wisdom from other cultural perspectives may become more inspiring.
Additionally, with action-oriented Mars (retrograde) making a square to numinous Neptune, this week may bring us the reminder of how important it is sometimes to let go and trust the stream of life. That’s not to say that it’s simple; after all, when the path feels blurry or we find ourselves in a situation where we aren’t necessarily able to be the ship’s captain, it can be unsteadying. At this time, we may be able to find not only solace but wayfinding wisdom in turning to our intuition, our faith, and our beliefs that transcend the rational while we also embrace the feeling that we are connected to something that feels much larger than ourselves.
That said, watch for another possible reflection of the Mars/Neptune Square, which is experiencing your energy elevating or plummeting without reason or warning. Make sure to be steady with your pace and be mindful that, as much as you can, that you allow your awareness—rather than only instinct—to guide your actions and movements. Also, be cognizant of the potential temptation to sacrifice something treasured for the sake of another. Remember that it is one thing to consciously give of yourself and another to unconsciously give away too much of yourself.
Wishing you a week filled with the power of sway,
xxStephanie
