Did you know that each day of the week is associated with a different planet, one that’s said to rule over and influence the mood and activities of that day?
We can readily see some of these correlations in English:
Monday is the Moon’s day
Saturday is Saturn’s day
Sunday is…you guessed it…the Sun’s day
For the others, turning to Romance languages such as Spanish can readily illustrate the day’s associated planet.
Tuesday is martes, or Mars’ day
Wednesday is miercoles, or Mercury’s day
Thursday is jueves, or Jupiter’s day
Friday is viernes, or Venus’ day
As it turns out, this Tuesday—notably beginning later in the day—may not seem like your garden-variety weekly Mars day as that planet’s influence will feel exceptionally prominent. That’s because it’s the day when the warrior planet will blaze into Aries, one of the signs that it rules. Being in its home terrain has Mars packing an extra punch. Add to that the Moon moving into Aries just before Mars does and it seems like the energy is poised to really shift: a sense of going with the flow is likely to be replaced with a feeling of being super gung ho.
If you’ve been looking for that extra spring in your step and inspiration to marshal your moxie, this week it may arrive. Similar to the glyph for Aries—♈︎—which looks like a stylized V, we may have an easier time tapping into feelings that start with this letter. Think: vim, verve, vigor, and vitality.
Mars in Aries is a warrior, filled with courage, and an impassioned spirit that is inclined to launch itself onto the battlefield of life in order to champion causes that ignite its soul. And given that Sunday it will unite with make-it-bigger Jupiter, this week feels like it’s all about the fight.
Reflecting this, it seems important to be hone your aims on what you want to fight for—what accomplishment you want to achieve or what treasured principle you feel needs defending—and channel your energy and willpower towards that. Not only will this allow you to make headway in your pursuits, but if you’re not actively in motion moving towards and fighting for something, you may find ourselves in situations in which you need to fight against something. The former not only seems more productive but filled with less stress and strife. Regardless, be on the lookout for a rash of impatience and flaring tempers—whether yours or others’—and remember that if a situation feels too inflamed, you always have the power to excuse yourself so as to not risk being in the proverbial line of fire.
Mars isn’t the only planet that moves into its happy place this week. On Saturday, Venus, the planet of love and money, will enter Taurus where it will reside through June 22. During this time, we may find ourselves becoming more practical about our finances as well as seeking experiences that connect us with nature and bring us more pleasure and sensual delight. Yet, before it shifts into Taurus, Venus makes a tense square with transformative Pluto. And with that, we may be called to reveal secrets we’ve been keeping—whether from ourselves or another—related to whether or not a certain relationship brings us the value we truly seek.
Be well,
xxStephanie
