Here are some insights about the opportunities and challenges that this week’s astrology may offer. May they help you make the most of this moment. Remember that if you would ever like to see how the planetary movements are inspiring you, based upon your personal astrology chart, we can explore that in a Stellar Guidance Session.
Also, as you may notice, I’m sending this out on Sunday rather than Monday as I usually do. I’m curious whether this works better for you. Send me a note (just respond to this email) if you prefer one date over the other. xxS
On Monday, Venus enters Leo for what’s poised to be a long sashay through the sign of celebration, self-expression, heart-centered living, and star power. Usually the love planet stays in a sign for several weeks but given its upcoming retrograde cycle (July 22 – September 4), it will lounge in Leo for over four months. This will gift us with ample time to explore new ways to weave romance into our lives, connect to the artist within, and understand the ways that we want to feel appreciated and acknowledged.
Yet, Venus in Leo’s luster may seem a bit tamped down early this week. That’s because just as its extended residence begins it forms a tense opposition with transformative Pluto. And with this, everything may seem to get more intense. It may feel less possible to brush things off as there’s a building urgency to allow for what’s residing below the surface to have its day in the sun.
It’s a moment to dig deep and see how to take relationships to the next level. If we’ve not been honest with ourselves—let alone others—we may find that we no longer have the ability to turn a blind eye to these churning feelings. Any out-of-sight-out-of-mind strategy we’ve been employing may seem to run out of steam as we find ourselves compelled to deal with feelings we’d been avoiding.
It may feel uncomfortable, and yet by being truthful and honest (at least with ourselves) we’re able to continue with the process of rooting out what is no longer life serving. Remember that after we’ve dredged up what we’ve cast away and we express it, things may be shaken up but what shakes out and away are things that have kept our relationships from flourishing as much as they can. Keeping our heart open, while infusing your honesty with compassion, can help us support us as we transform and deepen our relationships, and our relationship to relationships.
Note, though, that the Venus/Pluto Opposition may not solely arise in the realm of relationships. Invariably, it may instead/also be experienced related to matters of money, beauty, and justice. These may be domains in which we find it necessary to survey our relationship to power and control, where we have it and where we don’t. Get clear about your values, what you deem to have richness and what you believe truly has worth. Look out for insights that can help you further connect to the value that you have and ways to further claim it.
As it turns out, Venus and Pluto are star players this week for other reasons.
Venus squares the Lunar Nodes on Wednesday, further bringing us into contact with the power of the feminine. This weekend as it squares Jupiter, look to see where a desire for more freedom and possibility is either supportive of your financial life or is undermining it.
Regarding Pluto, on Sunday it climbs back from Aquarius into Capricorn. As I’ve shared before, during this and next year, the deconstruction/reconstruction planet shifts between these two signs. Capricorn is connected to government, economics, organizational structures, the patriarchy, and consensus societal structures. Aquarius relates to technology, societal progress, futuristic visions, community orientation, and energy.
Over the next two years we may see a strong interweaving of these realms. Here are five possible examples of collective trends we may see develop:
Governments (Capricorn) x Technology (Aquarius) = Government Regulations of Artificial Intelligence
Earth’s Resources (Capricorn) x Energy (Aquarius) = The Ongoing Mining of Minerals Needed for Clean Energy
Corporations (Capricorn) x Futuristic Concepts (Aquarius) = Companies Further Capitalizing on Space Travel/Exploration
Traditional Banking (Capricorn) x Alternative Approaches to Finance (Aquarius) = The Fate of Blockchains, Crytopcurrency, and the Barter Economy
Communities x Traditional Institutions = The Rise of Civic Organizations Taking Over Responsibilities Traditionally Helmed by Institutions (here’s a great example of this potential)
If you’d like to keep track of Pluto’s volley between signs, here are the dates:
March 23 - June 11, 2023 (Aquarius)
June 11, 2023 - January 20, 2024 (Capricorn)
January 20 - September 1, 2024 (Aquarius)
September 1 - November 19, 2024 (Capricorn)
November 19, 2024 - March 25, 2043 (Aquarius)
Wishing you a stellar week!
xxStephanie
