Here are some insights about the opportunities and challenges that this week’s astrology may offer. May they help you make the most of this moment. Remember that if you would ever like to see how the planetary movements are inspiring you, based upon your personal astrology chart, we can explore that in a Stellar Guidance Session.
In addition to insights for the week, I wanted to also share with you two ways you can access more cosmic cues on what July portends: check out my latest monthly Well + Good wellness horoscope column and listen to this month’s So Divine! episode here (or via any platform through which you stream podcasts).
We begin the week with a Full Moon. As Luna hovers overhead as an incandescent beacon casting its glow across the skyscape, we also experience a sense of inner illumination. Given that the Moon is in Capricorn and the Sun in Cancer, what comes to light may relate to themes of duty, responsibility, nourishment, and protection. We may find ourselves inquiring about the ways that we can at once be loyal to our desires for success and achievement while also tending to our personal and family life.
All the while, pay attention to the urge to experience belonging. What does it feel like when you desire it as well as when you achieve it? Additionally, consider whether you’ve felt that you’ve ever had to pay a price to experience belonging. If so, gently inquire whether the outcome was worth it. If not, using hindsight, reflect upon how you would proceed differently next time to avoid compromising anything valuable while still experiencing feeling connected to a family, tribe, or clan.
I always find this annual Full Moon so interesting given that the Moon, which accords with the mother, is placed in a sign that is associated with the father (Capricorn). While the Sun, often connected to the archetype of father, is located in a sign that is imbued with maternal energy (Cancer). This really feels like it is an opportunity for a conscious connection between the two sides of the parental axis. This may bring our attention to the interrelationship between our or others’ parents as well as how we balance and/or marry mother and father archetypally within ourselves.
Here are some Stellar Reflection journaling prompts for the Capricorn Full Moon, which are included in my book The Astrological Self-Care Journal:
What’s my style of honoring a home/work balance?
What are some of the ways that I contribute to the foundation of my family?
The things I admire most about my parents include:
I wish that my family better understood this about my job:
Later in the week, it’s Mercury’s time to shine, as on Friday it makes a sweet sextile to inventive Uranus and on Sunday it connects to dreamy Neptune via a harmonious trine alignment. We may find ourselves encouraged to approach a communication opportunity in a non-rote way; thinking outside of the box and coloring outside of the lines seems like it will be highly encouraged. Additionally, watch for experiences that enable you to be inspired by the magical and mystical. Our abilities to perceive the subtle and the symbolic may be exceptionally attuned, and infusing our words or designs with emotion and compassion may feel quite instinctive.
This is the week in which those in the U.S. celebrate Independence Day. I wish for everyone, no matter where you are from or where you currently live, the continued discovery of independence, freedom, and sovereignty, in ways that nourish you and those around you.
All my best,
xxStephanie
