Here are some insights about the opportunities and challenges that this week’s astrology may offer. May they help you make the most of this moment. Should you want to see what the current planetary movements are catalyzing for you—what your here/now and near future may be inspiring—based upon your personal astrology chart, we can explore that in a Stellar Guidance Session. (See the section at the bottom for the special holiday program that I’m offering for my sessions, in which I’ll donate a portion of the session proceeds to a non-profit organization.)
Also, if you’re interested in gathering overarching insights into December, here are two resources you may enjoy. Check out the latest episode of the So Divine! podcast I do with clairvoyant Megan Skinner (which you can find on our website or wherever you stream your podcasts). Additionally, if you want insights into December via your astrology sign, read my latest Well + Good wellness horoscope column.
I’m not sure if I’ve yet mentioned that over the last few years, I have been doing a deep dive into systemic family constellations, studying with numerous teachers around the world. It’s alchemical work that helps you to access insights into entanglements that you may have with family members (both living and ancestral) and then release that which may be tethering you from living your life from a place of freedom and true soulful expression. It’s something I have been slowly weaving into my work, and which I will continue to do so more and more (look for exciting announcements about this coming next year).
The other day in one of my training classes (which are led by the brilliant Emily and Dan of Seeing with Your Heart), when we did a constellation for a colleague, I was chosen to represent The Void (“representation” is the term used for tuning into the energetics of someone or something). As I connected to this energy, I felt into how The Void is the space of emptiness, the space in between, that which while seemingly filled with nothing is filled with everything. It’s the “place” where unified consciousness exists and from which it may spring forth. It’s the dreamscape and landscape through which our imaginal mind traverses. It’s from where everything may be birthed as well as the place in which some seek escape, wanting to merge with something greater than themselves. It’s the space between notes, the place that music and art can take us, the liminal spot, the threshold moment when we’re not here nor there but somewhere in between.
As I connected to this, and as I’m often open to experiencing things through an astrological archetypal lens, I felt into how The Void was so Neptunian. It’s for this reason that I am sharing this with you now given that this week Neptune’s energetic is so commanding given that it stations direct on Wednesday.
As a language lover who has a predilection for wordsmithing, as I was opening to The Void, I then thought “What if instead of it being The Void, it is A Void?” And just as I considered that, I saw how it expressed another facet of the Neptunian archetype—that of “Avoid.” Why?
Neptune whispers to us memories of the interconnectivity of everything and beckons us to remember that innate state of eternal love and grace. And while this can feel soulfully inspiring, it has the potential of having us chase bliss while avoiding mundane tasks and responsibilities. Its pull towards seeing the innate beauty in everything may also pull some to avoid realities and what is right in front of them; rather they may see things as they feel they should be perceived rather than as they truly are in that moment in time. Avoid is also connected to escape, which is under the Neptunian domain. One way some people “flee” reality (all but temporarily, of course) is through drinking alcohol, taking drugs, eating too much food, and/or activities (such as gambling, tv binging, or shopping), if they are done in an imbalanced way and are relied upon as a means to numb the mind and heart; all these can be viewed as connected to the archetype of Neptune.
All this to say that this week may bring us inclinations and experiences where we connect with The Void; and at the same time, we may want to watch for the emergence of proclivities related to A Void (aka Avoid). As such, you may see some of the pushes and pulls described above to be more prevalent.
One more note regarding this week. On Monday, Venus enters Scorpio. When the planet of love dives through the sign of the depths (where it will be through December 29), we may find that our desire to experience beauty and pleasure feels really intense and powerful. Our affinity for mysteries becomes enhanced as does the value we place on needing to feel emotionally connected with others. Given Venus’ making an opposition to enthusiastic Jupiter on Saturday, this week may also offer us opportunities to expand our social circle, discover promises that reside beneath the surface of an important relationship, further understand our value and what it is that we value as well as see how pleasure can be a portal for growth.
Wishing you a lovely week!
xxStephanie
