Venus is in the spotlight this week.
On Wednesday, the planet of richness makes a square alignment with shake-it-up Uranus. Follow the inspiration to look at what you value from a different orientation. Hold space for surprises that may arise via social plans, purchases you’re considering making, and/or even the way that you want to dress for that certain special occasion. Given that this day also features a harmonious trine between messenger Mercury and expansive Jupiter, it may afford us with new ways to understand why it is that we adore and cherish the people, objects, and ideals that hold a special place in our heart. Additionally, the day may grant us with a sense of spaciousness that allows us to more freely express ourselves—although perhaps in a different-than-usual way—via our go-to love language/s.
Venus is also a star player this week given that Sunday features the Venus/Sun Conjuntion, also known as the Venus cazimi. Instead of crafting new language to reflect upon this special alignment, I thought to quote what I wrote in my latest Well + Good piece about this enriching astrological event. “Discover new ways to connect to and communicate who and what you love. When love-planet Venus rests in the heart of the Sun, pure love shines. We can access crystalline clarity regarding what has value and what doesn’t, as well as how to treasure our own worth. Beauty, pleasure, and enjoyment reign, and the richness that comes through relationships can become that much more apparent. Areas of life typically associated with feminine energy also flourish under the Venus cazimi, and we may feel more captivated by the power of allure and seduction.”
This Venus cazimi occurs at 20 degrees of Leo. If you know your astrology chart, you can look to see which house that falls in and any connections it makes to planets and/or points in your chart to further understand the ways in which it may add glitter and gleam (and even some additional glam) to your life.
As I’ve shared before, this current Venus Retrograde, which is occurring in Leo, is quite similar to the one that happened in the summer of 2015 and 2007 (and other periods eight years back from then). If you’ve been looking to that time in your life to see what was occurring to be able to further understand what may be arising for you now, I thought to share this: the Venus cazimi in Leo in 2015 occurred on August 15 and the one in 2007 happened on August 17. I thought to share those dates with you should your calendars, journals, or even camera photo archives contain any striking remembrances of what was streaming forth in your life then, as this can help you infer patterns that may be arising now.
I hope this week infuses you with an abundance of clarity about what it is that you find beautiful, pleasurable, and valuable.
