Here are some insights about the opportunities and challenges that this week’s astrology may offer. May they help you make the most of this moment. Remember that if you would ever like to see how the planetary movements are inspiring you, based upon your personal astrology chart, we can explore that in a Stellar Guidance Session.
We begin the week with the Sun uniting with the North Node, a celestial signature that points us towards the power of attending to the practical, which can serve as a pathway to feeling a deeper sense of purpose. Aligning with nature and its inherent flows and rhythms can not only bring us exceptional joy but can help to unwind tension we may carry. Watch the trees rustle in the wind, admire the sun’s sky-bound trajectory from its dawn to its setting, notice how the flora looks different this week than last. If possible, go outside—to your yard, a park, or a beach—and stand your barefoot soles on the ground to feel the soul of the earth.
As the weekend approaches, moving in a way other than your go-to may yield unexpected gains. Be aware of the rising of a rebellious streak, whether within yourself or another, and how attuning to an inner renegade energy feels not only liberating but can also catalyze advancement not otherwise possible.
Additionally, as we move closer to the weekend, a wave of intensity may also emerge, given that Pluto is set to station retrograde on Monday, May 1. As you may know, when a planet appears to change directions, the arenas with which it is associated seem to take on a greater prominence in the collective awareness.
With Pluto connected to the themes of power, control, shadows, death and rebirth, the cycles of life, and things that reside below the surface (including the subconscious), we may find ourselves feeling more deeply stirred than usual. Allowing ourselves to give voice to the feelings we often keep under the covers—including heavy ones such as grief, sorrow, fear, and even envy—can be quite healing. Be in alignment with the Plutonian invitation to let go of things outworn by doing deep cleaning, exfoliating your skin, purging a closet and/or weeding your garden.
Remember that with Mercury being retrograde moving luxuriously and at a slower pace than usual may be frustrating in the moment but yet beneficial in the long run. I share this here because coupled with the Pluto station, honoring the power of the pause and progressing more thoughtfully may help to stave off stress and/or sidestep an explosive outburst you may later regret.
Wishing you a stellar week!
xxStephanie

In the latest installment of my Saturn Return Profiles, I focused on actress Michelle Yeoh, the Oscar-winning actress who starred in Everything Everywhere All at Once. Yeoh is a great example of someone whose hard work and dedication to her craft paid dividends during her second Saturn Return, which she just completed. To read the piece—which also includes looking back at highlights of her life that accorded with other stages of her Saturn cycle—see here.
Speaking of Saturn, for any of you who are in your late 20s or late 50s and live in the Seattle area, a reminder that I will be offering Saturn Return Astrosalons next month. For more details and to register, see here.
I love the Saturn Return profile!! 🪐❤️
