Here are some insights about the opportunities and challenges that this week’s astrology may offer. May they help you make the most of this moment. Remember that if you would ever like to see how the planetary movements are inspiring you, based upon your personal astrology chart, we can explore that in a Stellar Guidance Session.
This April is quite the month!
Last week we had the Chiron-informed Full Moon. For many this intense lunation inspired moments in which sorrows, wounding and/or self-limiting narratives were shining quite brightly, and in their seeing the light of day drew our attention not only to the need for healing but also gave us peeks into the pathway for doing so.
And then next week, we have a Pluto-infused Solar Eclipse at the last degree of Aries that may have us feel compelled to champion for something deeply new and enriching. And yet given that it’s an eclipse, clear paths may seem obscured, which can bring us stress if we’re aiming for conclusions before they are ready to be formed. All this as Mercury stations, set to go retrograde on April 21.
Yet, sandwiched between these two provocative weeks, we have a fortuitous planetary alignment, one that bodes well for connecting to the flames of inspiration and sources of good fortune. It’s the annual Sun/Jupiter Conjunction, which this year will occur on Tuesday.
Whenever a planet conjoins the Sun, it’s known as a cazimi, an event that is associated with the properties of the accompanying planet—in this case Jupiter—appearing heightened and uplifted. Therefore, as Jupiter accords with bounty, themes of generosity, largesse, abundance, and higher yields may draw our attention.
It may seem as if we have more opportunities for growth, a heightened desire to expand our knowledge, the feeling that more is possible than we previously considered, and easier access to looking at the world through a half-glass-full lens. We may find ourselves supercharged with energy and motivation to quest, seek, discover new findings, and share wisdom from journeys we’ve experienced.
Use the cazimi energy to envision what you want your future to look like and the initial sketch of the goals you want to set upon the horizon. Attuning to this can be helpful as we approach next week’s Solar Eclipse as it can give us a sense of the destination upon which we’d like to focus our aim.
Of course, everything has its shadow and the celestial caveats associated with the Sun/Jupiter Conjunction include the potential for people to channel grandiosity, express themselves in bombastic ways, and have a need to take up as much space as they possibly can. Be aware of that tendency and how it may be expressed in people around you.
Also given that the conjunction occurs in fiery Aries, things may feel quite hot as if someone turned the temperate way up. Some ways that this can manifest is in experiences that stimulate heightened desire, enhanced affinity for spice (and being spicy), wanting to exert oneself strongly in order to sweat, and a pull to move really fast. Regarding the latter, be careful of your speed, notably as Aries rules heat and sharp objects, and you don’t want to burn or cut yourself as a result of quick impatient actions.
Also this week, Venus makes two important alignments. The same day as the Jupiter cazimi, the love planet makes a harmonious connection to transformative Pluto, encouraging us to dig deeper into defining just what it is that we value as well as excavating a clearer understanding of the great value we have. Later in the week, Venus makes a tense square to structured Saturn. With this, our attention may be called to ways we can take more responsibility for our partnerships, finances, and/or the way we invite beauty and pleasure into our lives.
Have a expansive and visionary week!
xxStephanie

Save the Date for Saturn Return AstroSalons in Seattle
In May, I will be doing a series of AstroSalons in Seattle dedicated to the Saturn Return.
The one on May 3 is dedicated to the 1st Saturn Return. And so, if you’re 27 - 30 years old, this one is for you.
The other on May 10 will focus on the 2nd Saturn Return. If you’ve navigating your late 50s, you’re moving through this Stellar Life Stage and this AstroSalon is perfect for you.
Both events will be small group gatherings in which we’ll go over your astrology chart to hone in on what the Saturn Return may be inspiring for you.
They will be held at the beautiful Cloud Room, which is making a special cocktail for the gatherings.
Look for more details next week and/or if you’re interested in receiving the details via email (or know someone who is moving through one of their Saturn Returns), send me a note.
