I hope that however you are feeling in this moment you are taking good care of yourself, whatever that means to you personally, however it is that you find rooting, grounding, strengthening, and centering.
And while there’s a spectrum of ways to do so, I do feel like a central core of this, one that I believe will reveal itself to have more and more transformational power as time goes on—notably as Pluto moves into Aquarius next week for its 20-year residency—is the Rx of Community Connection.
It’s not just that The Many can be effective in the moving of mountains that individuals cannot. It’s notably also because the expression of care to and from kindred souls—whether your family, friends, colleagues, neighbors, online allies, or others—can be a soothing and restorative balm. It allows us to recall that we are not alone, that we each matter, that kindness can have curative properties, and that we are threaded together in a constellation of humanity in which each of the individual stars is inter-related with each other.
This week offers us the opportunity gain new vantage points, notably if we are open to widening our lens to consider new definitions and ways of orienting.
I say this because on Friday a Taurus Full Moon illuminates the sky. Featuring the Sun in emotionally stirring Scorpio, and the Moon in grounded Taurus, this yearly lunation reminds us of the practical steps we can take to make space for the caverns of emotions we feel. Through it, we can see how routines, rituals, and regimens can help us to discover new ways to define and source safety and security.
This may be especially important when it comes to regulating our nervous system. I note this because this year’s Taurus Full Moon unites with Uranus, the planet that’s connected to electricity and our bio-electrical system. When Uranus is strong, if we find ourselves not dispersing and moving our energy (physical, emotional and/or mental) it may further build up and cause us to feel more frazzled, anxious, and edgy. So, find movement in the ways that are nourishing to you. And remember that with the Moon and Uranus in earthy Taurus just how restorative it can be to connect with nature.
Uranus offers us a clarion call to shake things up, create new patterns, and infuse a bit of chaos into a system in order to find a creative solution. As you’ve likely heard me say countless times, when Uranus is strong (as it is this week), Stay Bouncy! Know that surprises and the unexpected may seem more common. Yet instead of just feeling a victim or passive agent of them, see how you can use them for their shapeshifting potential.
Connect to the power of the pivot. Take a detour and expose yourself to new inputs and routes of awareness. All the while, also consider how changing your stance can open up vistas you couldn’t see: not because they didn’t exist but because they were previously not in your line of sight.
That said, it feels like a key is to be open to innovation and inventiveness while still proceeding with diligence and judiciousness. The reason: the Uranus-infused Taurus Full Moon occurs concurrently with Saturn shifting direct.
As you may remember, whenever a planet begins or ends it retrograde cycle, the days before and after, it appears to be moving very slowly. This seems to accord with its archetypal invitations appearing quite loud in the collective conscious.
And so with Saturn stationing, it feels important to move slowly and build a strong foundation. Play the long game. Don’t cut corners. Front-load investments for a more powerful pay-off down the road. Dot your Is and cross your Ts. Accept what’s in front of you so you know how to approach what’s in front of you. Remember that time is an essential ingredient in every recipe. And with the Saturn x Uranus mix, learn the rules so you can know how to more effectively break and remake the rules when that feels like the most judicious road forward.
Sending you all my very best, now and always,
Stephanie
