Astrological Insights: March 10 - 16, 2025
Don't Get Eclipsed! (plus, Mercury Retrograde Begins)
Here are some insights about the opportunities and challenges that this week’s astrology may offer us collectively. If you’re looking to access personalized insights to help you navigate the now, I’d love to do a Stellar Guidance Session with you. Want to garner insights about family and ancestral patterns that may be keeping you from living your life with freedom of self expression? Consider signing up for a Stellar Constellation Session.
As the week begins, taking the time find words that express your values will pave an avenue towards deep discovery. Reflect upon past relationships that brought you sparks of pleasure, considering what you learned about what you treasure. In doing so, see if you want to begin a new chapter of learning more about how to further bring beauty and richness into your life.
All the while, make sure you’re paying attention to the foundation of structures you are building. If there have been skipped steps or important details hurriedly overlooked, the consequences may become apparent. Going back to basics and arranging frameworks with maximum integrity is encouraged. Also consider how the roads previously traveled, including wisdom amassed through experience—whether your own and/or that of someone you respect—can help you architect structures with more efficiency and sustainability.
With the first this season’s two eclipses occurring mid-week, it’s likely that you may sense that the terrain is shifting a bit. At once, breakthrough awareness and/or happenings may have been unfolding recently and yet the contours of how they will actually shape your life likely feels elusive. This is just as it is when the eclipses emerge.
Witness and feel into the shifting tides, see how you may want to orient yourself in relationship to them and yet try not to be too concerned with all the details of the shore toward which you are moving. Things are obscured during eclipses, and if we push ourselves towards too stringent definition at this time not only will we experience undue stress but we may also cut ourselves off from a range of what is actually possible.
This lunation is a Lunar Eclipse, a Full Moon featuring the Sun in Pisces and the Moon in Virgo. We may find ourselves called upon to see both the differences and similarities within issues and situations we encounter. While we may be drawn to criticize, systematize, and classify, it’s important to also remember that while things may be discrete that everything is also inherently connected, even if we can’t immediately perceive it as such. Doing so can yield a greater acceptance of self and others, let alone infuse a bit more magical and mystical joy into our lives.
The Eclipse offers us an opportune time to focus on healing imbalances and releasing stress in our physical bodies through meditation, prayer, dreamwork, art, and/or our creative imagination. If we find ourselves called on to be of assistance—whether by another or the part of ourselves that reflexively always wants to help—it’s important to remember that service need not equal sacrifice. To give is one thing, to give away is yet another. Remember to replenish your personal ocean of inspiration; if not, you could experience an emotional drought that will not only deplete your energy but also your ability to be of guidance to others.
This week we also have messenger Mercury beginning its retrograde cycle. Remember that great benefits can arise during this time, notably if we go slow, allow ourselves to be in review mode, and look to the past for treasured insights. For more on how to navigate Mercury Retrograde, see this article I crafted.
Note too that once Mercury begins retracing its path, it’s not the only planet doing so, as Venus began its backwards slide on March 1. Both are re-etching their pathway in a similar spectrum of the zodiac: early Aries through late Pisces (to be exact, 9 Aries – 26 Pisces for Mercury and 10 Aries – 24 Pisces for Venus). As such, if you know your chart, look to see where this zodiacal facet falls; the house or houses it covers and/or any planets that fall within this range will point you towards the realms of life that are up for re-envisioning, re-evaluating and re-communicating over the next month-plus. (This is something we can weave into a Stellar Guidance astrology session if you’d like.)
A few follow-up dates before I end this missive: Mercury will be retrograde through April 7, Venus will be retrograde through April 12, and the next eclipse in this season will be an Aries Solar Eclipse on March 29.
May this week help you uncover ways to be in closer connection with beauty and grace,
xxStephanie
