If you’ve yet to sign up for the free webinar on astrological timing tips (and some August/September celestial highlights) that I am doing on Tuesday, August 13, you can find more information and register at the link below. And if you’re busy on Tuesday, no worries. Everyone who signs up will receive the recording and slides.
If you’re up in the very early hours of Tuesday (between about 2 am to just before dawn), go outside and look in the sky. There you will see a celestial sight, the cozying up of two bright planets, Mars and Jupiter. While this astrological union occurs every two-plus years, owing to the current location of their orbits, their observed position in the empyrean landscape will appear closer than it oftentimes does. For more on the this celestial show, and how to locate it, see this article.
What may this meet-up of action-oriented Mars and make-it-bigger Jupiter, both in the sign of Gemini, inspire in our minds and hearts?
With Mars in Gemini having a tendency to be a warrior with words, we may find ourselves feeling even more animated to converse, learn, and intellectually engage, notably if it helps us to not only clarify what we desire but also access it. We may acquire a deeper drive to amass facts as we feel even more fueled than usual to ideate, ponder, and debate concepts that stimulate our mind. Additionally, we could find ourselves ignited with a saposexual attraction to someone through being exceptionally magnetized to their mind.
Mars in Gemini has a style of movement that likes to flit here and there. With Jupiter in the mix, we may experience that as a heightened potential for distractibility and a greater challenge to concentrate on what we are currently focusing upon. So watch for that.
The sign placement aside, when Mars meets Jupiter, it inspires a quickening of action and impulse. While this can help give us some much needed momentum and out-of-the-starting-block impetus, be aware of a tendency for rushing, impatience, and impetuousness.
It’s not that quickly propelling oneself into action always carries concerns. There are times when we need to marshal a response with haste. It’s just that given that two days after Mars comes together with Jupiter it makes a square alignment with conservative Saturn, we may want to infuse our actions with more mindfulness and keep (at least) one eye on the long game rather than just focusing on what feels interesting in the here and now. If not, we may find ourselves more readily experiencing the consequences and frustrations that sometimes arise when we act from impulsiveness.
The themes of ideas, thoughts, and information thread through the whole week given that on Sunday we have a Mercury cazimi. This alignment—the union of the planet of communication (Mercury) with the Sun—infuses our minds with downloads of thoughts, realizations, and inspirations.
Given that Mercury makes a square with do-it-differently Uranus that day, it may be a moment primed for ahas! and unexpected bursts of awareness. Think outside of the box and paint outside of the lines, seeing where a creative approach to capturing information and synthesizing insights can offer you an innovative glimpse at something that has previously alluded you. This may offer you a sense of liberation you didn’t even know you needed.
When Uranus is strong in the zeitgeist, I like to say Stay Bouncy! Keep your proverbial knees bent, be open to the potential of detours, and see how pivoting can be empowering.
Wishing you a lovely week!
xxStephanie
PS: Next Monday (August 19) features a panoply of planetary connections including a Full Moon squaring Uranus, the exact Jupiter/Saturn Square, and a Venus/Saturn Opposition. Likely this week, we will be feeling their ensuing invitations for illumination that comes through surprise, the need to balance expansion and contraction, and the importance of ensuring that our relationships have solid foundation. As such, while I will write more about this next week, I did want to give a shout-out to this in the here/now.
