Venus + Neptune Meet Again While Power-Galvanizing Pluto Gets Set to Shift Retrograde
Here are some insights about the opportunities and challenges that this week’s astrology may offer us collectively. If you’re looking to access personalized insights to help you navigate the now, I’d love to do a Stellar Guidance Session with you. For the third time in three months, this week Venus unites with poetic Neptune. The other two—occurring on February 1 and March 27—took place in Pisces. During those periods we may have encountered a strong veil of dreamy boundlessness and felt inspired by the possibility of being carried away by the waves of something exquisitely beautiful or ideal. Attuned to our longings, we may have found ourselves either swimming in moments of infused ephemerality or feeling lost at sea, not able to reach a destination for which we so deeply yearned.
This week’s Venus/Neptune dalliance has some of that flavor but also brings with it something else as it’s sourcing the energy of Aries, given Venus just moved into this pioneering sign on Wednesday with Neptune doing so in late March. Venus in Aries has an affinity for action. It invokes an appreciation for fresh starts, new beginnings, and the excitement that occurs when crafting initial chapters.
Its union with Neptune can inspire us to envision how being a compassion-oriented champion or a warrior who’s sourced by empathy can make our life more enriching. We may witness the power and grace of pioneering women and yearn to feel encouraged by their bravery.
Of course, when Neptune is strong, we want to also watch for the slippery slope of sacrifice. While you may want to give over to another, watch that you don’t get burnt up by a fight you later realize has extinguished important resources you could have invested for a later, and more long-term, battle. Additionally, if you’re considering initiating a new project, be careful to not infuse it with too much idealism; definitely put on some rose-colored glasses to see what it could become but then continue to remember that you were looking at it through that lens so you won’t be disappointed later on should it not have met your far-reaching visions.
As the weekend approaches, so does the Pluto station, with the planet that embraces underworld archetypes shifting retrograde on Sunday. It can be quite rocky and volcanic during times when this planet’s invitation beckons our attention as it calls for us to cut to the core, mine below the surface, and surrender what is truly past its expiration date. Themes of power, control, secrets, and survival may be on display. Curtains may be pulled back and we may see things that we then cannot unsee.
Here are some ways to proactively work with the invitations being inspired by the Pluto station, which I featured in my book, The Astrological Self-Care Journal:
Solve a mystery.
Unearth a hidden treasure.
Tap into your power.
Allow for surrender.
Be honest about your unconscious motivations.
Embrace your shadow.
Own your desires.
Wishing you a week of deep love and transformative awareness,
xStephanie
